About

Between memory, tradition and reinvention.

Sura is a Lebanese singer and songwriter based in London, reimagining music from the Levant through a contemporary lens. Trained in opera and having performed as a vocalist in several Beirut bands, she turned to Arabic music after relocating to London — and her live work has moved between memory, tradition and reinvention ever since.

Her performances bring together reinterpreted songs from the Levant and original compositions, in contemporary arrangements shaped by Arabic music, jazz, funk and soul.
